WHAT IS UP! A Quake speed run video showed up in my youtube feed and even my wife said "hey, didn't you use to play that game?" Yeah baby, all. the. time. Seeing as how I got laid off, I think I may just have to dust off my keyboard and hop back into this.  Or at least get a server running here at home and teach my kids how awesome this game is.Wondering if anyone remembers me from... about 19 years ago??? lol -q |

I remember your name. I was just going through old pc's and found quake on my old linux machine. Good times... Man I can't believe how long ago it was when I really played quake with full servers. Late 90's! 97,98,99, etc. Just crazy. Still my fav of all time. |

Yes we're still here, nobody else would have us If you fancy the odd game or two the legendary shmack server is still up and running thanks to the generousity of some of the regulars. Simply fire up your netquake engine, drop in to console, type "connect quake.shmack.net" press return and then enjoy the RuneQuake goodness Have fun Monty |

Truly amazing. A testament to the unwillingness of us old codgers to let go of the good old days... I'm sitting here doing this instead of looking for a job. Working really isn't fun. If there's anything I could relate to the younger generation, is marry someone rich so you don't have to work, and if you do have to work, get rich really quickly so you don't have to work anymore. |
