Too bad about that chip on your shoulder. I get that chip from you stalking me everywhere I go and saying crap like "But that can be turned off in Slot's Rune Quake" like it's the greatest idea since sliced bread. You don't understand new concepts and trying them do you? You never did... "Ahhh my server crashed, I'll never ever ever try that again and I will constantly remind everyone on the planet earth that this mod can crash my server! Oh, and the modder isn't Slot Zero too, you see that because he code things to work one way!" DZ, you're getting on my nerves. You're a broken record player and an uncreative hack. Go turn features on and off and post on your slow website. |

This thread was started about an issue in the Rune Quake mod. I have every right to post whatever I wish. You can make all the jokes you want about me, but I've had a server up and running for 3 years. I'm not a part time coder that thrives on getting his back patted. |

Continue repeating the same lines over and over again, but I will point out that you're repeating yourself. Because soon as you see a chance you'll go into your rant mode again. Diazoild wrote: You can make all the jokes you want about me, but I've had a server up and running for 3 years. Oh, you're so proud. It's about having fun, not annoying a developer for not adhearing to your strict standards. Diazoild wrote: I'm not a part time coder that thrives on getting his back patted. I'm not a part time code and I thrive on having fun. Or else I wouldn't do it. I sometimes wonder if Quake is the biggest thing in your life, I code as a hobby and for entertainment playing with the results with others. If I had your attitude I would just delete my code and wait for Slot to release the next version of Rune Quake so I could upload it to my server and post what runes I decided to disable this time to keep things interesting.

LOL. Quake isn't the biggest thing in my life ... I have not even had a chance to play in a week or two. Sorry I don't have time to continue with this now as it is Friday and I'm headed into the city to meets some friends. Have fun mashing the refresh button. |

You guys have to grow up and realise quake is dead, making rotating armor and charging up armor not matter. I'm not saying your ideas are shit, but you waist people's time with mindless argueing. I made an exact duplicate of MS Project in ASP.Net with EJBs and you don't see me gloating and argueing. Chill! |

Quote: traditionalist
adj : stubbornly conservative and narrow-minded [syn: hidebound] n : one who adheres to traditional views [syn: diehard] Traditionally, in games when you pick up a power up such as a shield it goes away. Traditionally, humans didn't make games, they didn't even have power, gas engines or cars until recently. Traditionally, humans are inventors, they come up with new ideas, and actually try them. Traditionally, humans do things to better themselves. Traditionally, humans will reject new ideas that are not their own or they don't understand. Frankly, I'd like to see a traditional quake dm server with no mods attached to it. Those were the good ol days when everyone's favorite map was Wind Tunnels do to the altered physics. now we have special ability runes, grapple, altered item physics and twice as many weapons (unless it's fvf then its +80 ). Therefor, who needs wind tunnels? |

CRMod just adds in features for voting mainly, depends on who is running it. I believe Slot also maintains the crmod domains, servers can be found http://servers.crmod.com |

I just played Wind Tunnels on Shmack, and you should have seen the WHINING. I hadn't played it in quite a while, nor possibly ever with any latest version of a runemod, so I was set to go. I did quite terribly! |

Over time it seems like players in general have a very polarized feelings about levels. Once upon a time, it was enough fun just getting to play when there were 10 players and 4 observer slots which usually meant you had to wait 5 or 10 minutes (provided you were actually able to connect). |

Mr Wi-Fi, why are you so concerned with how I label myself? When I called myself a traditionalist, I meant a traditionalist in Rune Quake. I think that was easy to infer from the context. What that means is that, when it comes to modifications that directly impact the game, I hold conservative views. It's so simple how can I not know what I'm saying as you claim? First of all, every game does not require innovation. I agree that Quake, competing with newer and flashier games, can be helped with a new bell here and a new whistle there. I'm just concerned a change may have consequences, intended or not, that may alter game play for the worse. |

If you don't agree with him it is because you don't understand something (in his mind) and then he reverts to personal attacks. It appears he lacks the ability to accept that people are entitled to their own opinions even if they differ from his. Look around. It is well documented. |

Quit attacking someone for no good reason. |

That is an opinion, not a fact. |

Looks like this thread starts in the middle of an argument. Where does it start at? I like a good flame war every now and then. Edit: NM I found it. |
