I have no clue how to get it to work with fuhquake. I followed the intructions in the bot.qc file as mentioned but the whole directory is a mess and runes and bots dont show up in game. Anyone mind pointing me in the right direction? Here's my current command line: Code: C:\QUAKE\fuhquake-gl.exe -width 1280 -height 1024 -bpp 16 -listen 16 -conwidth 1280 -conheight 1024 -game runebot -listen 16
Why wont this work? I can play Rune Quake no problem, but how can I add the bots in it? |

The Chuck RQ Bots package is a NetQuake package he made back in 2003. The progs isn't the Quakeworld type, so that's why that doesn't work. You would have to use QRack or JoeQuake or some other non-Quakeworld client. If you just want the classic ID feel then ProQuake is the best choice. QRack screenshot: Select the client of your choice: 1. JoeQuake .014 EZ Installer - 1 click 2. QRack download page: http://www.quakeone.com 3. ProQuake Installer: ProQuake EZ Installer Chuck has long been out of the bot programming business, so if you are going to run it locally, like on your computer, the best solution is to download a standard Quake client like one of the above and play it. |

Ok I got it working but now I have some questions: 1) Where do I go to set the max amount of bots alloud? I try adding more that 5 bots but it doesn't let me. 2) After I remove the bots and decide to add them again by pressing the impulse bind, it doesn't add them. 3) How come E1M7 changes the gravity on it's own? It says that I am doing it but I'm not. Where do I go to fix this? 4) Where do I go to set the bot skill level? I try toning down it's skill but it doesnt seem to work. |

The code I supplied was written by Chuck. I barely know any QuakeC at all and I've only used this the RQP bots once. So, I don't know the answers to any of these questions. I just knew of a download. |

The first one is a simple fix if you have a compiler. Go into the source folder then the bots folder and look for master_bots.pf: <source folder>/bots/master_bots.pf Towards the top look for: "float MAX_BOTS = 4;" Change 4 to whatever you want but no more than 16. Bam |
